WARNING:Written at the end of 1997, some information is out dated

Well, what can i say? Starting off with a regular intro is way too boring and i dont want to do that........but...I can't think of another way to start so here it is anyway:

I think it's quite obvious by now what my name since i've plastered it all over this site. It's Dhabih, pronounced ZA-bee, most folks call me Dhab (Zab). I'm 19 and a little shorter than that guy over there, but taller than that other guy. For those wondering where my name comes from it's because my dad's half chinese, half scottish; and my mom's persian. Hence the name Dhabih. I consider my self all of those races, kinda a world citizen.
I'm right now doing my third year at the university of washington in seattle, majoring in general art. I think i'll change it to graphic design though. (I really want to do computer graphics and stuff, but they don't have that department here)

A bit about my past. I was born in Taiwan, somewhere near the south or middle i think. I spoke chinese with my brother, persian with my mom and english/persian with my dad. For first grade we moved to seattle so my bro and I could get our english better. Anyone out there go to Kimball Elementary in Seattle? Anyway after a year or so we went back to Taiwan but soon moved to Australia (don't remember why). Australia was a blast dude, one of the funnest places i've lived. Lived there for about 3 years, had a thick australian accent. The school's i went to sucked though, not very education oriented, just kinda played all day. (This was in Melbourne, Montmorency area, also Wattle Glen) After that we moved to Macau (near HongKong). My bro and i took correspondance courses, i took it from Calvert, and my brother from the University of Nebraska. That was tough, but cool cause you could go at your own pace. After 2 years in Macau we moved back to the US. Lived in Bellevue for a year but then moved to Canada to attend a international school, Maxwell International Baha'i School. That was a pretty cool place, kinda out in the middle of nowhere. The closest "big" city was Victoria which was 40 minutes away. (are you still reading this??? why? I'd be asleep by now) Anywayz, after that came back to the seattle area and am now living in Redmond, home of microsoft. oh, I also spent a quarter of school in China earlier this year, that was really fun and a good experience.
That was the short version of my life....yikes. Hmmmm, my interests and hobbies...I like to play basketball, play computer games, watch movies, listen to music, chase parked cars, try out new kinds of deoderant, collect dust bunnies, read the small print, ignore the big print, pretend i know what i'm doing....... i love photography, eating food, swimming, finding faces in patterns on my ceiling, driving, flying my personal jet (if i had one at least), imitating Peter Jennings, dressing up as Dan Rather, punching Jerry Springer; i also like to sleep, dream, kick it, play, laugh, pretend to cry, surf the net, play quake and uh..i like to draw i think.
Some of my favorite movies: Starwars (all three), Stargate, the Usual Suspects, Braveheart, Fargo, the Hudsucker Proxy, the Shawshank Redemption, Schindler's List, Die Hard, The Rock, Heat, The Proffesional, The Secret of NIHM, FACE/OFF, Mortal Kombat, LA Confidential, Sense and Sensibility, Contact, Dumb & Dumber, and many more that i can't remember. As you can see, i'm not too picky about the type of movie i watch, just as long as its entertaining and well acted.
My favorite actors/actresses are: Natalie Portman, Mel Gibson, Harrison Ford, Ben Kingsley, James Spader, Morgan Freeman, Dana Carvey, Jodi Foster, Kevin Spacey, William H. Macey, Nicolas Cage, Sandra Bullock, Al Pacino, Robert DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Claire Daines, Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis. I don't know why i'm even saying this....probably just to take up room. so it looks like i actually have something to share with y'all.
In terms of music, i like basically almost all types, except country music. The main ones are: Portishead, Puffdaddy, Blackstreet, Sting, Notorius BIG, Oasis, some jazz, some classical music, Wang Fei, Jackie Cheung (these two i listened to while living in china, so most of you dont have a clue who they are), Shakira (spanish), and i like that one song "The Devil went down to Georgia" its real old. Anyway, that's that.
Things I don't like (here we go again): people who think they are better than everyone, avocados, celery, people who jump in mud and then roll on a peice of canvas and call it "art", cold wet mornings, cold wet monday mornings, cold wet monday mornings when i forgot to get my coat, missing the bus, missing a shot, missing my friends, fakers, posers, and wanna-be's. Of course there are exceptions in everything above, i'm just being hella general there.
My philosophy on life is: "Life's to short to _______" (fill in the blanks) Of course I don't truly believe this is the case for every situation, but i just like saying it anyway.
I made this page because i wanted a place to show my work and hopefully it will get me somewhere in life. Well, anyway thanks for reading all of this, most people would've returned to the main menu by now.
