Actually, I just figured out the problem.
In Image Ready, there should be an option to save the image with "photoshop compensation" that fixes the colour difference just dandy.

I like PS better, but I like Painter for the natural media look. Corel ... nothing beats Photopaint in the brush dept. It has the best system for texture and brush manipulation and application, IMO ...
