I would only suggest that his index finger on his left hand (right hand from the viewer's perspective) is bent back a little too much.

How long do you think this took you? Any tips on how you went about making the metals look so real?

Also, did you use guide lines to get the symetry correct for the non-living ...

Very cool.

I really like your style. As you said, the lighting is a little flat, maybe look at working with the lighting you have but just try and make it more dramatic. Some nice lights and darks.
