23!! Now I'm even more impressed. Not that you are so good, but that you have done so many paintings that I consider master pieces. And I'm sure I've only seen a few of them at that.
I have only painted 3 pictures this year that I'm proud of. My necromancer being the latest one. If I would have done as many paintings as you I would be ancient by now

I check out your links, you are good, very nice.
Are any of them a self portrait by any chance?

I'm a very productive girl. I guess I spit out at least two pictures every week that I consider rather good. One each month that changes a lot in my style and takes me one step further along the road.
I haven't worked with digital art that long.
As to any portraits of me... naw...
But I've got this tiny image here of what I looked like some six months ago - the hairstyle has changed, and the eyecolour has changed (and the colour of hair) but...well...err... (An image taken by people at my job. Thus the boring pose.)

What do you do for a living, Enayla? I hope you earn money on your artistic skills. It would be a shame if you weren't.
I almost wrote something about your looks, but decided that it would probably sound corny or something. Besides my girlfriend probably wouldn't like what I had to say

what is that toonscape site and how can your pics only have 4 stars? what's a 5 star pic?!?
saw your lovely illustrations when you first posted a few days ago but only had time to really look now. very nice. loved dance of winters. that would be a really good website theme.
if you're not already earning money from your art, can i point you towards making book covers for ebooks. the current ebook cover standard SUCKS and you can revolutionise that, expecially with the fast pace you work at. of course you can do other stuff... i'm just saying the ebook cover niche is HURTING right now.
goodluck, keep posting your updates here please (till you do that website)... elfwood is so slow and i don't like the format of toonscape... (as if anyone cares)

Toonscape is a really neat art gallery that protects the images from people who try to steal them (though there's never any way to protect against the jolly old "print screen" I'm afraid)... As to the grades on the pictures, I've got slightly more five stars, than four stars... but it's always maddening to see people give good grades to the pictures I don't really like... and just four stars to the ones I'm very proud of
As to creating covers for books... it is something I have considered. But I'm too much of a coward to actually send some of my stuff anywhere...

Hmm so I post a compliment as my first posting ever and it gets deleted. :\
The skin tone in your picture above are incredible I wish I could achieve that in my somewhat lacking drawings how do you achieve this?
I read your tutorial and I don't remember a mention of how you achive the skin tones.
I was going through all your pictures last night on elfwood and in this forum (it took me a LONG time ) and was blown away. Great work! You are the reason I chose programming over drawing, in the grand scheme of things, I could never compete with your talent on the art side.
Anyway the comment that was deleted was along the lines of:
'No wonder the women are so beautiful in all of your pictures, the reason is that they are all self-portraits.'

DirtyDigger: Thanks, I am glad you like the image. And the rest of course
As to the skin tones, I don't know how to describe how I do them. I try to play with a lot of different hues so that it doesn't look flat, I know I only half succeeded with that in the picture of the lady with the mask, but sometimes I just fall a little short of the target.
Heh, and to the compliment... naw... I'm not that good looking, but thanks

That is a beautifull picture....Both of them
Of course I love the mask, very Amano looking. You ever see any work by Yoshitaka Amano?
Are you working for a company doing your art? You should have know problem impressing someone with your skills.
Thanks for the post on my Dragon Cave.. You nailed what I was going for right off. Im getting there.

Enalya nice pic overall ....I just wanted to make a comment about the issue of your paintings being stolen . I don't think you or any other artist should worry about this unless someone is selling them as prints. I mean if you get people using your work and saying it is there's consider it a compliment as they must love your work. People like Frazetta and Easley and all the great master painters have websites dedicated to there art. I think that they have got to the point where looking at there art is immediatly recognizable to whome they are..that is what you have to shoot for! I mean if someone came to me for a job interview with a portfolio filled with brom pics I would kick his arse to the curb!! So just keep that in mind ! |

I really like the pic. I think it would have looked a little better if the mask was a dark green or something. To seperate it from the tone of the hair and to make it pop out at you. The painting however is excellent.
One other question is what is that above your left eye in your picture? I agree with everyone else to.. very cute. |

*Chuckles* I'm not that pretty.
But yes, it's a piercing, though it's not a ring. It's a...*looks for words*... ah, yes, it's a barbell. Neat little thing. Had it for some three or four years now.
Anyway, this is what it looks like if you're curious:
The eyecolour has been manipulated, because I used to have orange eyes... and I don't anymore.

Hmm. The stealing of graphics is very bad. As for me I've got watermark ID that may be easily embedded into the image by using "Embed Watermark" tool in photoshop (any other powerful graphics product).
For more info you may visit:
Then I was just poor student and got it fo free - but now they can ask me to pay 500$ for using the watermark %|

Btw. Enayla you look beautiful
About 3 years ago in 1997 when Internet was just starting up in our country I've met a girl in the chat and she looked like you on the photo Her nickname was "Pretty" It was very nice for me to remember that time

CyberLink: Yeah, I know about watermarking... I checked it out, and to me, it looks pretty expensive... at least if you have a lot of pictures like I do (with expensive I mean that the engine you use to track down the stolen pictures with seems to cost a lot)
Someone also told me that the "print screen" button very neatly takes care of the watermark, and lets people steal the pictures anyway... It's just something that bothers me. Especially since I allow people to use my art if they just bother to /ask/ me. And because I found my art, manipulated with changed colours and horizontal switches, on other people's sites... bothering me a lot.
Enough on that subject, though...
Heh, and thanks... always nice to hear that people don't think I'm downright ugly at least

Not pretty, BAH! enough said on that..

As for orange eyes??? surprised noone picked up on this for a comment. Don't think I've ever seen someone with orange eyes... would be rather exotic me thinks.
This pic above the piercing looks annoyingly proper (not my cup of tea, but hey to each their own)

Weird. My computer is messing up so I can't see all the smiley things just above the reply box :/
Ah well.
And yeah, I know that picture looks annoyingly proper - but it was for my job's homepage, what do you expect
As for my eyecolour, orange/coppery is my favourite so far. I've had bright green, emerald green, really dark green, purple, lilac, turquoise, dark orange, bright orange, and now dark green eyes. Contacts, if you hadn't guessed.
Blue would be the actual colour

If the watermarking software is worth anything that's not true. Watermarking usually works by adding some information to the image which is visible to the computer by not to the eye. I've seen watermaking technology that can stand up to scaling, rotation, compression and even modification of parts of the image.

kig: Thanks!
maxwell: You might be right about this... I simply can't see how this would be possible however. When the image is on my screen, on my monitor, and someone uses "print screen", it is like a photo of something. I don't see how the water mark could possibly transfer into that "photo". But then again, I'm no computer genious...
Zaphod: Tack Jag gick p konst och form p gymnasiet, men jag lrde mig inte ett skit dr :/ Och frutom det s har jag inte gtt ngon riktig utbildning i det jag gr...

Hey Enayla,
Very cool stuff indeed. I usually don't post too often(busy, busy) but all the stuff I've seen you post is super cool. You should get as many gigs as you can possibly handle if you work that fast(3 hrs!!) I work with some kick ass guys, and not many are that fast!
Peace, out,
