Hi, I'm a starting comic-book artist, and I've been looking for somewhere on the net to, you know, get feedback and inputs and be "a part of a community" (And all that bullshit).
I've spent a couple of months at the Polykarbon forum, but I do not really focus on anime\manga style, and there's too much trolling going on there.
As far as I see, this board focuses on digital art, while I'm somewhat more on the borderline between digital and organic.
I use the computer to clean-up drawings, get them inkready, and applying text and rasters.
The rest of the time I use pencils and brushes.
I also color my work on the computer(When the assignment allows for coloring), and since I'm hoping for some more pure illustration work in the near future, there will be more of this.
People here seem to be into fantasy\sci-fi painting, which is not what I'm aiming for in any way. I'm most of the time more towards the "gritty-realism" genre.
Anyway, here is my very temporary online postofolio:

So.... you think this is the place for me? |

Well, I have no problems with rowdy, wild, savage, and beastly heathens.... heck, you may even be vile and vicious too.... obnoxious and revolting.... barbaric bastards..... whatever pops your lollipop.... I'm reasonably open-minded.
But.... what I was asking was really more, is this place totally focused on digital pin-ups, or can come here showing of... well....ehhh.... organic sequential art?(My oh my, what a big word for comics).
(And... I tried to create a link to my very temporary portofolio... but on my screen it only shows up as the UBB code.... Why is that? Does anyone know?) |

Hey - of course you should stay here!
I've learned so much from hanging out here - AND I've met a whole bunch of cool people - some of them I even met in real life!
Welcome |
