well, it improves the interfaces and add more features to the brush. But right now, i cant use the brush cause of its damn stupid setting, not sure if its the prog fault.
You can always download the "trial" version. *SUPER WINK* *SUPER WINK* |

Well regaurdless of what you guys say... I think Photoshop 7 is a godsend. I'd get it for the new painting system alone. it saves me SOooooo much time, it just takes a lot of getting used to

mza. also PS7 have the scattering option which really helps.
JesusClone, every time i change to a different brush, PS7 automatictly set my brush dynamic setting to Factory's default. Do you know how how to apply the brush dynamic setting to all the brushes at once?

Whoa.......
Okay Bang, I've had my copy for over a week now. The only way I know of to keep your brush settings is to make your own custum brushes. This is annoying at first, but once it's done you'll have a good "toolbox" full of brushes. Remember you can scale any brush using the two bracket buttons on your keyboard (above the enter key).
I for one love PS7 even though it was very pricey. Yes some features are annoying, but I said that when 6 came out and I ended up loving that. I think I need at least 3 more weeks until I really dig 7. |

I cant get my photoshop 7 to recognize my opacity setting but I found something on photoshop forum that may be the answer!!!
See here!!
Upon installing PS 7 and going through the tutorial CD, I noticed that my Wacom Intuos's pressure sensitivity was not working and nothing I did would make it work.
So, I resorted to downloading the latest driver from Wacom (Released March 21, 2002) which is a little newer than the last driver I had installed. After uninstalling the old driver, rebooting, and then installing this new version, my pen now works and I can start using the new, cool brush features of PS 7 I don't know if this will resolve the other issues people have been having, but it fixed mine.
Additional Note: If you are logged into your computer at work using a domain login instead of a local login (even if you are an admin), the install program may fail as it did for me. I had to logon locally and then the driver installed correctly.
Here's the link to Wacom's newest driver:
English - Driver 4.72-4 (RC) for Windows http://www.wacom.com/productsupport/mysupport.cfm?platform=windows
Good luck! Todd M. Taylor
Todd, I had the same problem as you did. I orginally downloaded and installed the latest driver. Problem remained. The upgrade only worked after I deleted the earlier driver. Thanks
Don
I think I've solved it...
Delete the "wacom.dat" file (on W2K, it's c:\winnt\system32\wacom.dat)
Then load the Wacom Tablet control panel, exit the control panel, it will create a new wacom.dat file.
Then load photoshop, and voila. Pressure and tilt.
---
Woo hoo!!
Gotta try this..
Thanks to me for solving my problem
I'm the best!! thanks a lot me. |
