GreenPeach.. is that painter?

really nice work.

Photoshop keeps pissing me off.. constantly having to undo full-pressure/opacity brushstrokes... keep tweaking the stylus settings too and it doesn't help.

That and i REALLY need to create a new set of swatches, as the default PS swatch set blows, as you can see in my small image above.

*sigh*

Jero, thanks. I see you and I both enjoy gesture drawing.

Your tablet does that too? Yah, that's annoying. This is PS, I like painter but usually use PS.

Yes, many swatches. I used to have a pretty good palette going but I got a virus and had to format my whole drive... need to biuld my colors up also.

yeah, gesture is always my favorite part of life drawing... i don't know if it's the animator in me or just the fact that i'm lazy and don't enjoy grinding away on a rendering for hours on end.

here are my lines from that orc piece.

I really want to get better at roughing out a painting like a painting rather than working from the "colorized drawing" method that i currently have... guess it's all in the doing.

Rinaldo: If I recall right, you wanted to make a 3d model out of the second one. Is it finished already? Or am I wrong?

Paul Bonner is da man when it comes to drawing orks. Here is one of my doodles done in a slight Bonnerish manner.

Nice!
very true to paul.
My dire avenger head on page 1 has a very Jes Goodwin head (except for what i did when i went painterly with the crest)

I haven't seen any Bonner work in quite some time... any clue as to where he's been?

have to admit that i do like the new GW orks though.

S4Sb- you would be correct=)

I made it relativly low poly, I forget the count but something around 1700 faces. just trying to get my head around the whole 3D thing, and make sure it had some hope of being animated. It was never really finished.
I'll do something simmilar when my 3D skills are better. this is one of my first 3d things and I didn't have the guts to post it=/
