This is real nice. I actually feel the action of the firefight.

I know you didn't ask for crits, but the upper right frame's guy is supposed to be shooting, but the effect is a little too subtle. Nice.

that's pretty damned kewl... like jome, this is probably one of my fave movie firefights...
anyways, aside from what's been said, nothing to crit about the artwork itself... however, i do have something entirely anal:
val kilmer is telling the other two to move when he's in the process of getting a new magazine... that's a sure way of getting them killed...

heh yeah i love this firefight and whenever i need inspiration or just in a violent mood i throw in the Heat DVD and watch this scene.

anywho...yeah i know there are some blatant mistakes...i am going to say that these are due to the fact that i am trying to get used to these pens...they are the ones where you dip them in the ink well....pretty cool stuff but a little slow and sometimes they drip :P
anways thanks for the comments

yes - sorry about all this delay. I had terminal problems with my computer. I have just got another one but my scanner card cant fit. I have to get a new scanner and then I'll be back in business. I have been a little broke as I'm paying off a gun at the moment which is quite expensive. I have made a comment or two on the underwater post but have been unable to upload new art. The next step their was to conceptualise the people that live in the desert areas on land. Also their will be a conflict between the underwater army and the desert dwellors army. These people and vehilcles and buildings etc need to be thought about. However if you are tired of that thread - I will post a new conceptual thread this week. However I intend to do more work on the underwater one as well.

Also I have posted a thread for crashed - derilect aircraft/spaceships if you feel so inclined.

Hey maceface! It's great to seeing you posting again on Sijun. Where've you been? Escaping bushfires?

Your comic page looks very awesome and action packed, especially that first panel with that deniro-style character. The little details like the scratches in the walls and wrinkles in the clothing make the scene very alive somehow. And yet, the panels aren't cluttered with detail to the paint that it's difficult to read.

Only crit is the tree in the background in the lowest panel. Trees with trunks that thick would have leafy branches that span far further that what you've drawn there.

Maybe the career of a storyboard artist is calling you, huh?

Nice! This is my favorite shootout ever in a movie.
Some comments:
If you're going to make a car a main element on a comicpage, you better make sure it is all tight and clean, and really reflects the design of the vehicle.
I can also see some difficulties with the faces, but hey it's practice.

I like seeing people doing complete comicpage layouts.
Are you going to colour it?

i like the deniro character in the first frame. i'd say vary your line weight more, it'll give you some nice depth.
