ok, i'm not even going to guess how long it's been. i work at a 1-image-for-every-6-months rate and it's a little depressing. this one's been melting on my harddrive for a little while and i've lost my interest in it, big time. you guys can crit me up the wall if you'd like because i'm confused by a lot of things here. thankyaz.

It has a John Berkey feel without the spaceships! I enjoy the bold color bands especially the luminescent yellow in front of the bot. The painting begs a story to be told. |

wow, that is so nice! Really like the style, kickass! I can see some flaws here and there, like the girl's body (or legs) being too long, but it still rocks. |

Excellent, but I have to agree with Duncan. The lighting on the girl seems off.
It kind of seperates the two characters.
Also the guitar strap looks a little too bright.
I'm just picky because it's good, ofcourse, but one when come so far might as well go all the way....
I love laser!!! |

Wow, really like this one. I too felt the rush of 80's music zoom through my mind the moment my eyes saw the multicolored bands. And doh, now I have that one Dire Straits song stuck in my head. THANKS!..arrgh!
Sing with me people...
Now that ain't workin' that's the way you do it
You play the guitar on the MTV
That ain't workin' that's the way you do it
Money for nothin' and your chicks for free
Money for nothin' and chicks for free...
I want my...I want my...I want my MTV |

Wow. That made my eyes happy.
All at once my brain thought of Star Wars, Atari 2600, MTV, Asimov and Sweet Tarts.
Fascinating to look at.

Wow very nice piece, you've capture the feeling, light and reflections all very well. Me likes me likes
my only nitpick is the girl. Her body is somewhat elongated making her seem like a preteen rather than a small girl. The arm is a bit too short, even for the headsize.
Still a wonderful piece! |

thanks again, everyone. i wasn't expecting much of a response, so you've inspired me a bit. the girl is on her toes and that strong light is supposed to be eminating from under the robots torso (spanks, tarandon). though i still think her proportions are weird.
spooky: there is indeed a bit of a story to this.
geelimp: i've only ever heard one live track by her (santiago). i must hear more.
sukhoi: you're right, the strap is intense. i think i'd gotten too used to it.
n8: that's interesting. you're not alone on the ground comment, but i was satisfied at the time.
turnip: you're right about the arm. that's some cruddy forshortening.
..all the 80's comments made me giggle. |

Very evocative! The bands of light give it a lovely whimsical feel, which is really nice. This would make a great album cover--not a cd cover mind you, but a big ass album cover so the artwork can be seen in all it's glory
Great work Icannon! |

Am I the only one who see's that the girl is standing on her toes? That's why her legs look long. Also the lighting on the girls head is coming from inside the robots chest. So ya she is brighter than he is, but thats because he is a lightsource. I think everything is where it should be. Really nice. |
