I kinda like it, especialy how rough it looks, but how do I make it more interesting? It's quiet boring as is.

if i were to do add touches 2 this painting i would use a lot of noise on it.. lot of brush strokes visible to make it even more rough and primitive..
my vision though! |

I actually like the toned-down colors. Very cardboard-print. Looks nice, the sketch quality would transfer awesome to high-grain format. I also agree it could use more sketchiness, at least in the flag. The person is awesome -- amazing job. But the flag looks, I dunno, kind of amateur. Too many directional scribbles. Either make it really different from the person, or try to blend them together more. |

maybe if you made it more like an actual flag? it could be cool if you tried to paint it like there was some kind of breeze or something. also, i think the roughness really works for the face, but not so much for his shirt. you could try some simple hard shading for the clothes, or maybe that's just my opinion. |
