I know I dont post her often, but I figured what the hell. Anyways. I just put up a good amount of some work I have done thus far for Figure.
Little backround. I am 20 years old, and I am a first year at Ringling School of Art and Design. Undeclared major, attempting to get into Computer Animation (Very competitive). Any feedback, good or bad would be much appriciated. http://www.rsad.edu/~breyenge/
Heres a peice from my site.

Kain-
Site-wise, your thumbnails seem to be a bit distorted...you might want to redo them.
Art-wise, you seem to have a good understanding of proportion and lighting. I guess I'd like to just seem some more stuff done as realistically as possible, if you can ever manage the time (I'm a senior graphic design major, so I know how nuts art school can get). It's good to see people in school who can draw...too many people go straight to computer stuff without being able to draw, paint, or design by hand.
Damn, I sound like my professors. _________________ They don't know who they're f***ing with... they're f***ing with a lean, mean, tattooed, rated-g boy scout.

Hey thanks for the quick reply! appreciate it. All these were done in class, no more then 40 mins. some as you can see are very gestural. As for the thumbnails on the site, they are suppose to be distorted, though I am not sure I am seeing things the same as you may be on your computer?
The peices are done with either a woodless pencil, graphite crayon, or conte.
What school do you goto? Oh, and there are quite a few crappy artist at my school. Though on the same token, some really awsome artist as well. (rant/ Mostly the photographers and Graphic Art guys are the ones that cant draw... though suprisingly theres this kid whose a CA major and draws cartoons all day long.. very irritating. I hope he drops out. Cause he sucks! lol /rant) If I dont get into CA I may transfer to a different art school, cause Graphic Arts (alternate major) at ringling just isnt worth 20 grand a year _________________ -Kain Victus

Actually, I go to the College of New Jersey. It's a small liberal arts school...we always end up highly ranked for academic stuff, but we've got a good (if small) art program going.
I agree- some people are bad, and I wonder how they got in. And it's not that they're good photographers and can't draw, or good designers, but can't paint. They're...just....bad. But yeah, there are the people at the complete opposite end who seem capable of doing everything. And people who just need a project they care about to kick ass on.
Whatever, you do what you can....and show up everyone else and enjoy the envious stares. _________________ They don't know who they're f***ing with... they're f***ing with a lean, mean, tattooed, rated-g boy scout.

Yeah, but the thing about CA is they accept like 45 people only per year, and this kid somehow got accepted Anyways. Sounds like you got a nice little comfortable placing going on up in New Jersey. I cant wait til next year, or at least til next semester, even then, some of the jackasses will be weeded out. _________________ -Kain Victus
