@"username" I can see you have the same problem as I with the colours - I often make the them look a bit dirty or still worse: "GREEN" Well sometimes it is a pic of choise you do, and then its okey - but it would be interesting though, to see your pictures in another colourscale. Go on posting I see you are eager to progress as well as I am.
@"electroganic" ...another avesome pic. What a dancer you must be with that rythm in your body!
@"eyalyab" I liked that view from inside your orbit - really an odd way of seeing!
@"vosi" Good work! This one is very sensitive but look at that ear - do you really have them lower situated in Austria??
No, sorry, that was not nice - just a joke!
...a last one before I go to sleep!

@bobuke: In the mirror my ear seemed to be situated very low in this perspective. But obviously I have painted it much lower than it was in reality.
thanks for your comments. |

Nice portraits everyone. I love the huge variety of style in this thread. Here's the first one I've done in ages, and it took me all day to get done. SP's are something I need to get into more.

It's great to see this thread is alive and kicking with some amazing pics.. To everyone; every pic I see here is such an inspiration.. I love 'em.
Here's my most recent contribution. Done in good old fashioned watercolors.

Mon, especially like your last one - but all others are really great too!
Headache while it is still very hot in my room direct under the roof this summer. _________________ Lars Gtze

A lot of nice portraits as always - just to mention a few...
@"m703-324"...have seen several of your bunnies - didnt know they were selfportraits till now! I like them!
@"_dan_" All fresh style youve got!
@"Turokess" ...love the glance of your eye! Good portrait!
@"riq" A very beautiful portrait...
@"Duracel"...looks like a real hangower to me , probably after all your nature studies (...according to your own lines by "Reinhard Mey") but its good though!
Have seen your Zoo Thread also and Im so impressed over your skill to work fast and still make such a good result.(One among many things I want to learn by joining this forum) Some of the animals are really good I specially remember the monkeys, lions, elephants and rhinoceros.
...still no Wacom, but Ive started dreaming about one! 2 hour

One of my first acrylic paintings, it was too big for my scanner, and I think when I put it together from 4 diff. scans it got shifted a bit...all well.
*edit- I have to right click, show image to get it to show up, so if the red x shows up, try it. _________________ Self-pity and modesty get you nowhere

Duracel - I see you have some mixed feelings about the summer-weather, this latest portrait is the coolest portrait I have seen. Very good. :)
I think you should have a sticky with your ports like Android has over at CA, how many have you made?
Keep it up Duracel. :)

"Drunken Monkey" - I like the expression of your face, its interesting... I wonder whats in your head?
"Duracel" - really a good one this time - wouldnt mind having it on my wall!
Im struggling, myself! Suffering from a bad otitis in my right ear Im not doing any good today but I post it anyway...
This time I made a sketch first (...also in photoshop) and then worked with colours. I have used a mirror instead of photos moore frequently now and that is fun
