Sp's from a few weeks/days ago, attempting to capture the inner self, during random times. 2 were done during very fucked periods, 2 during very personal periods.

My first post on Sijun, and first self-portrait. The quality of this thread (and the rest of the forum) is very impressive.
Ref: my passport picture (don't we all love out passport photos!)
Hair is a bit pathetic, but I didn't want to spend any more time on this piece.

i especially like how loose you painted your hair

This is exactly how i felt after watching "Fight Club" this night.
- completely out of mind -

you've got all the majic required to become a totally mind-blowing artist. just time now. that balance of realism and abstract/impression/creqativy stuff wotsity stuff, is completely unimporvable. My opinion. |

it's been awhile since i did a self portrait.. so, here's one i just created..
i started out by laying down acrylic on a canvas board (for the background only) and then i scanned that in the cpu.. and used Painter/Photoshop to then paint the self portrait..
so.. the end result is a 'mixed media' sort of piece!

Capt.Fred, your opinion means a lot to me, thx.
biglebowsky, yours great too - agree with the eyes, but well eyes are everytime the most hard thing to capture.
cg, ist this one with mirror or photo-ref? It looks a bit like the last.
all others, great work too, keep it up!

Duracel - You just keep improving.
Hedlamb - great pictures.
cg - If that's no photo ref you're a crazy genius, if it isn't... still very nice pic.
Keep up the good work, everyone
Long time no post here, this is mij second SP on Sijun, changed a lot since then.
Very quick SP... more of a scetch, maybe I'll finish it someday.

Just thought I would put up another SP to say Hello again. Haven't really been posting as things have been a little crazy as have lost my job, moved house and been on holiday . Haven't had a computer where I have been living for a bit so my graphics tablet has been sitting a bit idle so have been doing some real drawing .
I hope every one is doing well and I hope to get posting reasnoble regually again some time soon.
