Jonathan: I had to bring that into Photoshop and mess with the contrast to see anything... Still not sure, looked like a few ship bows and tattered flags, maybe some boats? Either way, you have some awesome textures and brushstrokes in there that were lost in the final wash... |

xia- thanks! You are really good at figure drawing, your gestures are really good.
gyaxi- thank you.
Brokencow, right on! I love those.
sosen- cool stuff, my favorite is the woman holding the pipe.
matthew- I like that acrylic
meaty ogre- I love that first face
Mon- you are an awesome painter
gally0- nice
eLLioT- nice
johnathan wahlstadt- looks like mist over water to me, with just the prow of a little boat breaking through the fog. Do I get half a chocolate too? |

Hey Spooge just a quick question, what is a good book that talks about lighting and its properties. Like that talks about diffused light, point source(don't know what that is), and different lighting's properties. _________________ -Blade signing out- |

syzygy: thanks!
Tepox: great stuff! i especially like the last one, regardless of it's unfinished look
tried 2 new things on this one: drawing clothes on my character and using a new pentel brush pen, which is something to get used to i guess. Anyone here familiar with these kinds of pens?
one more thing: i'm not sure whether to ask it here, but does anyone know any good books or web resources for drawing clothes? i know burne hogarth has written one but haven't grabbed it yet.

blade, I really don't know of one. I was taught about the basics of that stuff at my first class in ID. Most books I have seen that talk about it at all are simplistic and muddled. Don't know what to tell you.
no, I have not seen it.

Blade: i have seen a book about lighting called "3D Lighting History, Concepts And Techniques" that dives pretty deep into things like that.
