Duracel, got your note, no problem, thanks for asking. On the horse thing I opened an old watercolor and rotated it and started painting. The horses ass got touched not much

Nice one Spooge, though the recent landscape painting...wow.
A few or perhaps 15 posts back you and Matthew (and some others) talked about skilled and "forgotten" artist. Maybe you guys know this one, I sure didn't but he can really paint, Ilya Repin, http://www.abcgallery.com/R/repin/repin.html
Just trying learn Painter a bit better.

Speed Painting an Orc. I am trying to free my style up and be less controlled. I think I am getting closer to what I want to be able to paint like!

Sometimes painting is like climbing a rope of sand.

oDD, nice feeling to your town in snow.
Gecko, great work, like "a head of a man" best.
Here is a macro-shot of my desktop:

I don't know if it occured because I have a fever right now or what, but somehow I started to understand that "color is value" thing mr. Lemen always talks about..
No more bullsh*t local color everywhere. Maybe I start doing only grayscale images...
Spooge: You're too good!
Gecko: Have a nice vacation, see ya at work!
Ville kicks ass, I'm just a stupid cg-minion of his. |

first time I found to paint in a while.
2 speedpaintings of the same thing one the night before, one the morning after. I don't know which is worse.. you tell me.
the first was an evil bastard of a pic, had me infuriated and you can see it's looking pretty weak. second one better?
spooge; oh my god, what the.. this most recent stuff is just.. wonderful! pfffff..
oDD; cool pics. like the statue.
brasshorse; nice, love those mini ones.
in fact, everyone's bin super awesome recently. |
