I actually went to Biseor's website and had a look around. I don't agree with alot of what is there, but I'm more astounded by the response to his writings than anything else.

I think you had some very valid points, and I do agree with much of that, but the way you presented it and the way much of it was worded makes plainly obvious your animosity toward blacks. I think that could have been a very interesting and thought-provoking essay, but you didn't quite mask your hatred well enough. the islam thing: im not going to tell you your view points are wrong, i am, however, going to 'suggest' that you do some kind of independant research into things before forming your opinions. I happen to be good friends with an Islamic guy, I myself have also read both the entire bible and koran, islam is NOT a violent religion, the word jihad, as used in the koran, means to protect your family/country from foreign 'invaders' under no circumstances does it have anything to do with declaring war on someone else. all these pseudo islamic militants are nothing like their name says, they are basically militant groups like any others (like those formed after the break up of the USSR), the fact that they are dubbed 'islamic' is a damn shame. a genuinely devout follower of islam is as much against all the violent crap as anyone else is, and there are a lot more devout muslims than you might think.

bottom line: freedom of speech is a right, in terms of the law everyone is equally entitled to their own opinions. if you don't like/agree with someone's opinion, fine, but if you genuinely are open minded you'll be able to appreciate it, if not adopt it as your own. in an art class a couple of weeks back one of the guys asked the teacher what his definition of open-minded was, since people use it in so many different ways. after a rather long debate the group of 21 people settles on this definition: "shock proof"

last thing: lighten up people, no point in spending your life taking everything so seriously and worrying so much that when u find out you have cancer you're pissed off at not having enjoyed yourself.
