sorry, no typing, have to sleep now, but wanted to post that link before switching off my pc, because i think it's kinda hot shit to discuss about.
when i come back to sijun tomorrow in the evening, i wanna read lot of speculations about which sect she is used by, who the ghost-kitsch-painter is behind her paintings or whos bankaccount gets filled up by selling the 300 to 2500$ prints ... damn. _________________ known as "ChrisNix" elsewhere.

That is totally bull. She had some Japanese cartoon influence when she was four(?) and propably lived in the Mid-West. By the age of five her manga influence was gone, that propably means that the guy who made all the drawings for her changed.
And honestly, I'm not sure if it's posible for a human child to draw that accurate humans... shouldn't their brain be under construction in elementary school? Unless she is possessed by some holy spirit in her quest to paint tacky Jesus
No time to write more, but I'll be back to flame when I can |

Nice flavour of the eighties too, I bet she spent her first months going through catalogues of Bon Jovi haircuts.
EDIT: I guess this is just a matter of faith! Behold, you've all been put to test. She must be real! Lord forgive me! |

Welllllllllllll.................................................................
Picasso could paint better than just about anyone on this forum when HE was nine.
Not that I'm comparing this girl to Picasso, but it is possible. |

I've seen Picasso's early stuff. Incredible realistic works when he was around 15. If she really works 50-100 hours per painting, it's possible to do these.
And now my opinion about it:
Possible yeah, and a nice money making machine for the family. If all else fails, you can always sell your stuff in your kid's name. Make something religious, sells even better.

I had been looking for a Jesus model for two years, and I could not find the right face. Then one day I asked my family to pray with me all day. We petitioned God to send the model right through our front door. The next day a tall carpenter came in. |
Isn't that just lovely. At age 8 she had already been searching for two years. Thank God that Humble Carpenter stepped in.. |

The world is full of prodigies and virtuosos. I think it's great that a kid that age has that kind of talent. Good on her and may she know great success in life. _________________ - Tom Carter

Assuming this girl really does paint like that, it's sad to see all the churchies exploiting her gift to spread the good gospel. It reduces what she does to the level of those guys who bend iron bars with the compulsion of Christ. Jesus doesn't make her paint like that.
Put your flaming arrows down, too. This isn't an indictment of Christianity or religion in any way. This is an indictment of televangelists. _________________ QED, sort of. |

What sickens me about the whole site is the amount of pressure people put on a young child. It looks like everyone wants to profit from the talent, I bet she doesn't really understand what everyone around expects from her. The only thing that's special about the art is the age of the author IMO.
It's like some young pianist who's really talented and the parents try to get in the spotlight as well. Maybe the kid has poor social life as a result.. Might end up hating music later, because the choice to practice so much at such an early age is done by others.
Edit: This is probably the most ridiculous testimony

We are all in total awe here, at this Russian television station! We compared
Akianess extraordinary painting Prince of Peace with the computerized image
taken from the Shroud Of Turin, that was hanging in my office. To our complete
shock and marvel we found virtually an exact match! |
Of course it's an exact match, their station has to be mentioned somewhere.

You know, we really don't know this girl, and I think it's just a bit harsh on our part to make these kind of jugdements. Don't get me wrong - I ain't no holy roller or whatever, I'm just sayin' . . . she might be just as happy as a pea in a pod. Who knows? _________________ - Tom Carter

Yeah, I think I just mentioned the suffering artist clichee, anyone who does well must suffer as a consequence.. Stupid I know. Still, I'm not in love with the content of the site. |

Eh! Me either. But there are folks like that in the world, and folks like me and folks like you . . . and so on. As long as everybody minds their own business, I got no problem, but when they come a knockin' on my door trying to save me, because of some holier than thou mentality, and I gots to save ya!
Then . . . I get a little chaffed. _________________ - Tom Carter
