This thread never disappoints me =)
Just wanted to let you know you're VERY inspiring. Francis made a huge progress from his old work. And Matthew is getting up fast, too (although I don't like the last one that much)...
Some new, dirty speedie from me:

Another architecture sketch, no brown goop this time.
Hey here's something interesting - I submitted my previous sketch, the old French street scene a few posts above to cgtalk.com, in the 2d/illustrations/concept art forum, but they rejected it because it was not digital. I'm not too bent out of shape since there are plenty of places (like sijun for instance) where I can show it. I just wonder why they include the terms concept art in the title of the thread if all analog sketches are FORBIDDEN?

@francis: CGTalk goes with the wind in terms of allowing traditional stuff. I mod the lighting and rendering forum over there, and I used to have a say in what got plugged and what made it into the gallery, but they've shuffled those roles around, and now I'm locked out of that process.
I am tempted to try to get back into that area of administration, because frankly, they have been plugging some godawful tripe lately. _________________ brian.prince|light.comp.paint |

Rassel: Thanks for the encouragement hmm, it's so easy to slip into old habits.. That superman rocks btw!
I've just begun reading Figure drawing for all it's worth.. what a book! almost got me convinced not to draw a human being ever again..
Tiger: wow, great use of textures.
P-rik: Can't understand how u make those colors look so vibrant, very nice.

okay, haven't done much in digital art, primarily draw... BUT I was playing around with color/tone moreso than intrinsic form |
