vyle> awesome. Is there a certain way to make them? I've seen people do it before and...I'm just wondering if there's a filter out there that does it for you. But, as always- SICK!

annisahmad>> no filter that I know of. Definitely not in photoshop (unless someone can prove me wrong! Which I would love)
I mixed two techniques: simple speedpainting in photoshop, mixed with a camera mapping technique in 3ds max. A real pain in the ass, but exciting results!
I like the middle creature btw. _________________ vyle-art

Vyle: Yes there is a way to do that effect in PS:
Just take one of the rgb layers in the channels panel and move it . If you drag the red layer in the opposite direction then the blue layer then you get this effect.
old speedy of mine as example:
have fun :]
Jesse van dijk: terrific! |

yakonusuke> I know that technique, but it is not really "3D" per say. It is just a basic shift of dimension, but dos not contain any 3D. You have to go through a 3D software to really have proper dimensional volumes. _________________ vyle-art

Vyle is right.
Yakonusuke, what you got there is more like the "red & green fringe" you can either add or reduce using the Distort> Lens Correction filter. It's pretty common in photos, but doesn't include any 3d information at all. |
