I'm sad to report that on Wednesday Nov. 29th a dear friend Rene Garcia passed away. I thought that some of you out here in the vast web community may have known him. Rene primarily worked as a layout and background artist, but also did a bit of character work, both in design and animation.

There will be a memorial page of sorts added to http://www.thecycle.com that will display a small collection of backgrounds and layout sketches that Rene created for various TV shows such as the original Jetsons, Flinstones, Scooby Doo and a few others.
