I started this "doorkeeper" project and I ended with these 2 sketches, now I dont know which one to finish and what to do with it. Please write me your opinion.

Definitely the second one! Much more alive and full of detail. I'd say leave it as it is, it gives a nice chilling look. |

I must agree that I prefer the second. It has a much better balance between intricate detail and "smoother" areas.
I also much enjoy the subtle dappling of light across the entire piece.
I'd stop where you are (being careful not to overwork it to the point that it ends up looking like a mandala ).
Keep up the great work! |

I prefer the top one, and I"d like to see it finished. I don't really care for the way the guys hand looks in the second one I guess

Great work on both, most definately.
I have to say that I think that the first is much more striking, the intense look just off to our right to me is telling a story. The second is a little flat, so to speak. Absolutely beautiful renderings on both though, don't get me wrong, just putting in my 2 cents for this first. Not sure what could be done to bring it along any further. Perhaps the shadow of someone or something in the background to lend some clue as to what he has his sights set on? Good luck on either one, keep us posted!

I like the head and the hand of the first one. For the rest I would go for the second cos it is much mor worked out. Maybe you can combine the head and hand of the first one with the second one... |
