This is something I've been trying to work on and it might help you as well. Since I cant comment on your style because its your own and makes it difficult to judge - at least for me...
anyways, try sketching the whole thing first before focusing on detail on the faces right away. I've watched you sketch and I know that you love your faces and for the most part dont deal with the rest of the body. These extremely cool peices that you do I think would be that much better if you could complete the whole character. Try to keep the level of detail even throughout.
Hope that helps some.
BTW - I almost fell off my chair laughing when I looked at those football picks of you. I would have never known it was you.
Keep up your groove man!

The two guys on the top of the bottom picture (hope that makes sense) both remind me of Gibert Godfrey. Tak to you later Blitz. |

You might want to try playing with stick men. I know that sounds like an insult but it isn't at all. To more understand the way someone stands or moves even if it is a cartoonish figure try drawing the spine, shoulders, upper arms, forearms, thighs and lower legs as different lines. Then add a circular head on top. If you do this all the time just on the side of a piece of paper when your listening to someone talking or are just bored I guarentee that your characters will become more lifelike and will become more alive. Also I've found that trying to draw the whole picture in one line instead of sketching a line makes me concentrate more on what that line will look like. You can also hold your pencil almost by the eraser to do this so that it becomes more fluid. Just some ideas. I think you have some really good ideas moving keep it up.

Thanks guys, Im glad you took the time to tell me what you think.
Thanks stu. Most of these guys were just faces any way but I do know exacly what your talking about.
Thanks Eric. Ill do that more often...Normaly when Im working out a pose I use little round figures and sketches. I should do this like you said all the time even when Im not working out a pose for one pic.
Thanks
