looks great Gecko.. the purples and violets work great.. i love the way you paint eyes- every creature you paint, whether it is a small bird, a giant sea monster or a robotic alien have this wonderful sad look their eyes.
as to the see montster- i think i liked the colors of the previous version better.. but this one is definitely better in composition. |

I like them both but that first one is pretty sweet!

The sea monster is now at least 10 times better. I think you have the ability of changing your paintings compeletely and not just fixing some minor things here and there. In my opinion you could use green colours to make the atmosphere warmer.
PS. I liked the submarine in the first version...

nice man, i like how relaxed these two pieces look, although the alien doesnt look to have alot of character and the sea monster's head has much more detail than the rest of the image |

they're both great, but i really love the second picture. it's so life-like\stylistic\creative all at the same time
i happen to think the detail's just fine |

These purples and violets never find their way to my pics, so why not make up for it using only them this time :)
It's supposed to be an alien, jealously guarding his side of the fence to make sure the neighbors cyberdog knows to stay away :]
(and no, no there's no weapon whatsoever in the scabbard)
janne, sorry in advance.
This is how the monster turned out:

I like both of them. Good looking pose on the alien. He must have thrown his sword at that freakin dog. That final version of the seamonster is great but those bubbles look a little too much like a cigar smoke to me. Maybe they should be broken up more or they shouldn't be so bright? The textures you got going there are really nice.

Great to hear the eyes are looking nice, but since they all seem to be sad, i gotta learn to do some happy angry and other kind of eyes too :]
bg: If you're ready to sacrifice what you've painted so far to get something better instead, a lousy pic can be turned to something good. I didn't really like the first seamonster because of the total absense of sea element, so whoop all the color had to go. Although digitally anything doesn't have to sacrificed, you can always go back.
Jasn:
Heh, play with the opacity??
layer opacity & brush opacity. different layer blending modes? dunno how to use them but see if they can help.
lomi: the point is, the sea monster fades into the sea as you look farther and farther, thus, most detail to head.
Yeah the bubbles suck :]
What's with the car insurance??
