ok, up until today, i'd always sketched things out with the paintbrush. until today, when i realized the difference between the paintbrush and the airbrush in phoshop. color build up. STUPID hamilton. oh well. so i figured this out, and had to do something, so i just started doodling around and this emerged. hope you guys like it. i think it's some kind of monk or something... i dunno.
enjoy

well... with the paintbrush tool. if i set the opacity to 10, no matter how many times i swipe past the same line, it will never get darker. it will get darker with each consecutive putton press. but not with each swipe.
the airbrush, however, will build up color as it makes each pass until it reaches full opacity (or a reasonable facsimile).
so. for someone who is a sketch artist, like me, it helps to have that build up. i've found that setting the opacity to 10 and using the airbrush tool is just like having a pencil in my hand. |

I like it. Doesn't look like the airbrush at all (at least it looks a lot different when I use the airbrush), more like you used pencil.
Cool. |

it's a tablet, but it's not a wacom. it's big, black, green, and says pablo. but hey, whatever works. it's actually a pretty good deal. it doesn't work so well in psp, but it works great in pho, and it was only 100 bucks with a medium sized surface. it's an older model but i like it. |
