Just a little head I made. The model took about 5 hours, the texture took about 45 minutes. The morphs took about 20 minutes. Still have a lot to do if he's gonna head for the portfolio though.
Enjoy him, he makes me laugh. :]
PS: Oops, can a mod move this to WIP?

It's great, kind of looks like Shrek. I love the texture on the nose, cheeks and the top of his head. The details in the eyes are well done, too.
I think the shape of the mouth needs work, but I really like it! |

Thanks guys, just another angle. I've gotta fix those lips, they're on the Todo List! This is a link, since it's a big render!

Im actually most impressed by the shaders, and the awesome realism of the metal bands, and wood/leather bits. The skin looks pretty correct (specularity) as well. Needs detail, but still awesome! |

I don't know ANYTHING about 3D art so maybe my crit is completely pointless... but one thing that stands out to me as odd are the eyelids. They are really just... there, heh. I think perhaps putting some wrinkles in the corners of his eyes will help a lot. Maybe some lines above and below the eyeball as well. He's just so smooth right now, doesn't appear quite rugged with the baby smooth skin around the eyes
The rest of it I love though. Would be interested in seeing it with more dynamic lighting. Maybe something a little foggy to provide more atmosphere and bring him to life?
Good work! |
