Hi P82D: I don't know too much about photography, but the main thing I've noticed is that there aren't any concrete focus of attention at your pictures. I mean, my eyes wander all around your photos. Maybe some more contrast, or any kind of emphasizing the main motives of your pics would help.
Anyways, I think they are great. That bird in the step is really nice! _________________ _ _ _____ _ _

Cool some responses - I certainly know where you're coming from with the lack of focus, with regards to the tern (bird on step) I can't figure out how I can make the bird come out more - the tones are the same and the actual focus is already on the bird.
I like the way the penguin swimming satands out with the dark muggy dark background and the bubbles also catch the light and stand out.
With the lioness I will admit I don't know what the focus is - her eye the trees reflected or the cute childish shapes on the side...
And finally the iguana I was just trying to capture the weight behind the thing I dunno help!!! _________________ Thanks

no focus - maybe because the subjects are confined into small places. no space behind them.
but i dont think there is something wrong with that. its a good thing maybe to have captured (on film) a bird, who's supposed to be out in the open, at such a cramp place. plus the iguana - same thing, i like best the third pic. the first is not consistent with the others. (no photomanip.. no) j/k |

Unfortunate problem with zoo's the animals being caged! oh well sure beat being mullered by miss lioness and company. The main problem is the 30 mm perspex between the lioness nad penguin and myself adjusting for that was a nuisance.
So why'd you think the first was inconsistent I didn't quite understand whatcha meant?
Cheers for the ideas btw _________________ Thanks

I agree with the focus in general. Maybe you should have tried a smaller aperture, like 2.8, so the background was blurred.
Also, some images seem cropped, are they? _________________ "Ever forward, my darling wind." -Master Yuppa

Yes cropped to remove extreneous detail due to the nature of the subjects getting close clear pictures was difficult to impossible so they were re-presented after cropping and adjustment in Photoshop. _________________ Thanks
