[Bare Bonez]

Hey Guys,

Just had a question. I've recently heard some music by the Strokes, the White Stripes, and the Vines. It reminded me a bit of Sonic Youth and Eric's Trip.

The question I had was, this stuff sounds like rock music, but in some ways doesn't sound like the rock music I'm use to hearing. So what is it about this music that makes it different? Are they using different chords or different progressions? Or does it have something to do with the use of "the" in the name?

It's mainly the pRoDuction of the track...where they place things, etc and the vocal style when it's they're present. Most differences are usually only one tiny difference. The only thing that sepereates some obscure ska from speed metal is how loud the singer yells.
