ERRRR!! I can't stand it when you switch layers, start paining, maybe hit control z to undo the first thing u drew, not even thinking about it, and then boom! You paint all over the wrong layer!!!! ERRRRRRRRRR!!
Ok that was my rant, I just painted all over the wrong layer and had to revert to an older version...at least I only wasted about a half hour. So, does anyone else do this? Alot of times when I switch layers, I paint something in the middle of no where, then erase it, so that I'm stuck on that layer. What do u guys do? |

Yep, in addition you can periodically hit new snapshot in the history pallet. That way you can go back to the snapshot if your screw up was beyond the default 20 actions in the pallet. For more info on this just look it up in the help file. _________________ Kevin Moore

I do this all the time. Usually I'll catch it after just a few strokes so I can undo the work I just did (which sucks if I think it's going in a good direction). Sometimes I'll just leave what I make there anyways.
Although lately I've been trying to work with fewer layers and to rely on the undo option less. But a lot of times I'll make a new layer just to see what a change would look like before merging it and sometimes I'll have this happen again.
I really wish it didn't revert layer selection when you hit undo. :/ |
