Mmmphhh ... i like it lots ...
must be a real nice moment there ... i cant remember my moments anymore...
wish there was more movement to it, wish it wasnt so still ... a painting like that deserves more emotions.
I'm loving it nontheless .. _________________ This be my website |

first off, really nice job on the two figures, you rendered them very well. The background is done pretty nicely too. The problem I think has to do with how the two are integrated. I get the feeling that rather than these two people really being at the Pont du Gard, they went to a photo studio at their local walmart and had a picture of the Pont du Gard put behind them for the picture. The way to fix this would be too change the composition, where you have a couple of choices. You can either make the canvas larger and show more of their surroundings and how they are actually placed in the environment, Or you could simply cut off a lot more of the background and make it all about the smoochin and no matter where they are. _________________ http://www.angelfire.com/art2/wfkeil |

Nice work - better than I could do.
To more-or-less echo what Heysoos said, they don't seem to be part of the background. It seems that the colour of the light is different for the figures (warmer) than for the background. Maybe a little bit of colour tweaking would improve the integration? |

How random of someone to pull up something of mine from March.... O_o
I'm lazy, I never did fix the background (though I thought about it and agree that it needs tweaking) and don't plan to. :- _________________ DA Gallery| LiveJournal
