Last year, I did a bunch of work on the 'Marvel Vs. Trading Card Game' put out by Konami. I colored about 7 chapters of in game stuff, I think, as well as 14 different covers/ad spots. All the in game stuff was colored in pieces so it could be animated and I don't feel like assembling it all to post, so here are some of the print pieces I colored, drawn by Dave Ross. If I get motivated later, I might assemble some of the in-game stuff I colored.

I'm not as keen on these as your older work. Where did the choice come from to leave out reflected colors?
I guess it's quite a clean style, but having these blocks of mostly the one color looks old-school to me. _________________ Art Links Archive -- Artists and Tutorials |

I absolutely would not say any of these are poorly done - the old school vibe works well for me. Obviously there's less cohesion than your usual work, which is more harmonious and has less competing colors, but you've still got great balances of warms and cools and the whole array is just razor sharp and clean. Dunno if I've ever told you but your work almost always astounds me - a little less so with this old school style, it lacks the glitz and dazzle of your typical magic - but it's still great. |
