hey guys,
i have been getting hella requests out there to start posting tutorials on 3dpalette.com, like at least 2 times week. Right now im composing one for 3d studio max character design, physique, and soon bones. This morning some chic from the UK asked me to write up my method for characeratures(sp?), and ive been toying with doing a weekly tutorial column on figure drawing and the best way to start from scratch and tone your skills. I was wondering what kind of 'real' demand would be comming from the users here at Sijun.Com since, well this is the most successful forum i know of for artists ion the gamming community. I have lots of plans for the proposed site, like a forum dedicated to art critue, spacifically for game-realted art. I'd like to brainstorm the ideas with you guys, maybe build a team of judges and 'dedicated' personell to help me keep content flowing, it would be my new pet project and i'd take it very seriously if i get a positive response from you guyz/gurlz...
so whatcha say?
Lates...

who you want the tuts for?
if beginners or people who's still "searching" you better make a big tut thing with different drawing techniques.. take a few and show how to use them and then people would experiment and choose whats best for them!
thats even nicer than a glass of cold vodka!

advice:
ask different good artists to make you a small tutorial each with techniques they use.. I dont think two artists use exactly the same technique.
also good tutorials would be tuts where it explains how to draw separate image objects (say clouds, natural background, sci-fi bg, materials etc.)
thats all i can up with so far

Anatomy/proportions. Teach 'em the fundamentals first. After that, you can write some tutors for the Digital Artist's Resource too |

I think that's a great idea. Personally, all my work has been greatly affected by tutorial pages such as phong.com, twh.telefragged.com, etc..as well as oodles of individual pages. I don't think you can ever have too many tutorial pages..especially if they're packed with great content.
I'd be willing to help out...if you'd like to see the caliber of my work Pak, feel free to check out my little nook on the web www.teamlmnop.com/hosted/salty/sanitorium/main.html
Check the portfolio section (obviously..hehe)
And lemme know what you think..that goes for everyone else out there in digiland.
