Here are some reference photos for anyone interested in doing speed pics for practice. I don't own these photos; I got them from various stock photo sites. They are pretty low res, but I think they'll work.
If anyone has some better pictures, then bring it on.
15-20 minutes is a good time. Spooge, Fred, any of the experienced guys are welcome to give advice, examples, or paint one and show us how it's done.
Here we go... First guy to post a painting, please start another thread

Allright then:
Some more reference pics. Some of these have been lying around my HD for a while some more recently and some just a few minutes
These are all taken in and around my house with a digital camera. I have pretty much no idea about photography so some are a bit....well crap.
Hopefuly the subject will outshine my skill.
The kitchen scene
Some sunsets
Some nice reflections
some flowers
These things are wierd
and seeing as all those things are organic. heres a few inanimate-mechanical objects.
(no I dont drink the stuff I just like green bottles)
Ye old joystick
And if your really feeing cocky you can try your hand at this clock I found lying around.
Whew... Like I said some of the photography is not that good. I wanted to get something glass that was going to create good reflections/refrations, but I couldn't find anything so the bottle is a stand in until someone can find something really cool.
I am imagining that these will not stay up forever. other people will find more interesting things to possibly put up as time goes by. if people are actuialy interesteed in this idea.

Ok Rinaldo, that's just eerie. I took these three sunrise pictures a few months ago.... When I first saw the sunset pictures you posted, I thought you had hacked into my computer! ;)
I'm just amazed by how similar the compositions are. |
