Looks pretty good - I like the girl better-seemed more solid. His helmet seems a bit funky, and you may want to do something with the ground out there. Nice pic!

Man that looks nice Francis. I love your style. Only thing I would suggest is a litle more detail on Boba. One of Boba's trademarks is all the "war" marks on his armor. If you look in micke's Boba thread I posted some reference pics in it also. |

Wounderful scene, Francis. Great work!
My apologies if I missed an earlier post about this pic, but my initial response, courtesy of our friend in the foreground is "wtf is this, wtf did it grab on to that and, now I have to deal with this and miss dinner with the kids? "..!
I love it! It is a great shot that inspires much thought...
My suggestions (for what they're worth and if you're looking for them) would be to warm up the clouds a bit (thanks Micke). I think they could use more color definition to tie them into the background along with the entire scene and maybe bump up the color of the "ant hill" in the background (perhaps with distant blues and purples) and blur that a bit to give the shot more depth.
Then again, that Planet may not have the wonderful atmosphere that we have that we can see before we breathe...
My 2 cents. I love the piece and no harm intended by my suggestions...
Cheers!

Wow man you're really getting better with every new pic.
I love it because it has a story of sorts. You can look at it and say more than "hey that's nicely done" if you know what I mean.
It looks like you're doing those lines in PS non? if so the're pretty good. it's a nice style your geting with this and some of the other stuff you've posted.
I like how you post a bigger version as well.
the armour could be more hacked but maybe this is a young Fett, sans the experiance and character:).
I liked your EVE as well but never got around to saying so.
Very cool.

Thats hot man.
Very cool design of that insect like mechanism on the rock. Whats its purpose?
The style is awsome. Remindes me of Alfonzo Azpiri. He draws Lorna for Heavy Metal. |

Boba Fett's always been a fave! It's that combination of that helmet and cool armor and as the Joker says 'All Those Wonderful Toys'! It doesn't seem to matter which version of his Mandalorian Armor you see, white as in The Art of Empire Strikes Back, Jodo Kast's armor, Jangor Fett's armor or Boba's classic. It just is great design! Keep up the great work! BTW. I always liked how the comics kind of interpreted Boba as having a bit of good side, just working for money is all. A very interesting character attribute that should have been explored further. Like Riddick in Pitch Black, too cool to be bad, to bad to be good. Just right.

Man, you are definitely improving pic to pic. Get any better, and we will have to kill you.
I really like this one. I love the big shrimps in the background. The pic tells part of a story too, which I like. One thing that I enjoy about your sketches is that you are very deliberately, instead of just settling on what comes out.
Anyway, great image. I'd 'a put Fett more in the shadows and put more of a rimlight on him, if you're looking for any crits. Keep up the awesome work |

Will you stop it Francis!! You are killing me here! First you draw that cool EVE girl, now this...that's it! I'll stay up another hour and sketch. Look what you did!! ;P
I like the loose line style you have. Everything tightens up when zoomed out. Makes me realize how tight my stuff is. I need to loosen up more.
Great work....again..

Along the lines Vortx stated here:
Do you really do anything else than just draw superb pictures? I mean do you sleep or anything?
Oh well, I just hate I've lost some touch drawing freehand - just 'stupid' 3-D - real time stuff = blocky geometry, reduced detail etc. What would I give to be as good as Francis.
As always, excellent job! |

Damn, you must be on a creative streak or something. The pic does spark interest. I like the subtle palette you used. I'm thinking the foreground looks too superimposed over the backround, but you may not agree. Keep 'em coming!

Great stuff, Francis! When DO you get the time do do this??? ArggggH! Like the design on the derelict hulk, really feels like an empty shell somehow... maybe it should have just gone AROUND the damn rock, it wouldn't have gotten stuck there...
I agree with the clouds... Forms are nice, but it just has a kind of linear slope, no breakup of basic shape... Unless it's a dust cloud in the distance from some a landspeeder or something(which might add to story) but then you'd want to tint it more sand tone... actually it seems too greyscale, needs a little reflected color...
Too tired... rambling... signing off now...

Francis, another nice piece. From your comment I gather you're not too keen on the clouds. How about giving them a brown/yellow tint and turn them into a sand storm on the horizon? Just an idea. |

Wow!
Great to see the finished piece.
I agree with chapel, he need more battle scars and some of the armorpieces needs
some highlights(more shiny)
Besides from that very nice
You make me wanna do a new Fett drawing.

micke: doesn't everything make you want to draw a new Fett picture?
Francis: I've passed this on to micke and now I am passing it on to you. I'm going to give you the best Boba Fett reference pic you could possibly get. Try and use this to your advantage.

So Francis gets all the grattitude and not me?
I guess it beats mine, hehe. Like micke said, more highlights would be in order, and more armor scars, too, like the real Boba Fett! |

I photographed my Fett helmet. I've painted in all the scratches and battlescars myself
from photos. Maybe you can use this if you want.
