You can't use the tablet with both monitors? Is there a way to do so and your painting not be distorted? I mean, aint there a way to just use a central panoramic area of the tablet?

I am about to purchase the wacom intuos a5 USB but now wacom is selling the intuos 2 line... which is a bit more expensive but seems to have the same features...
I know where to gat an intuos 1 tablet ...

That's my first try of painting directly on photoshop I did around January...
It took me about 40 min (not that speedy) and the reference was a pic on a magazine
It is rather rough but it eurpised me ...
