The only suggestion I can give is, to not use dodge like you are. Try shading with colors, it looks much better. Yeah you definately need more color variation.

Last time I went up to the ice caves on Mt. Rainier, they were filled with blues and greens in the ice, as well as the whites and clears. Ice things can be much prettier than simple glass-like clear.
