The article disturbs me a lot -- art and the definition of art gets looser as it goes along. Someone mentioned that photogtaphy isn't art. Then what about videography? are films considered as artworks ...

In the art school I come from, creativity is often valued for its originality in conceptual development... you know what I mean... not games rip-off or such.

However if you still wish to polish up on ...

love the painting but the moon reminds me more of a gigantic cotton ball ... no idea on how to change it though.....hmmmmm

the drawings rock! but colouring really needs p-a-t-i-e-n-c-e, unfortunately. (One took me 6-8 hours on the damned mouse)

scan your images in under really high resolution and use small brushes...

On filters:
Maybe the lens flare is an overused tool; but I don't think there's anything wrong with the use of filters anyway if it's tastefully done... to me it's a waste of working smart.

I do, once in a while when I have the time. Digital artwork is cool but nothing beats the sensuality of layering real materials, real textures... or maybe I have something for oil fumes. :P
