Hehe... funny facial expression. It's nice! I haven't much to crit. Perhaps some individual areas look a bit blurry - as chin. Dunno. You can work with very nice and beatiful terraced skintones so I think that blurries look a little strange from you. I hope you got my point. Gotta go sleep. I like these facial expressions I have seen. I'll do my own ones on pencil tomorrow. Good night...

keep em coming...I will try to do one later too...
more same value color variation...more pieces of color within a give area of color will make your pics more luminous...not muddy.
awesome job though...this is fun to see.

I think it looks great! I think the ripples/folds between your eyes might be a bit too uniform...
Still a fun pic!

Hello again!
I think the face expression is a bit dull.
Justin managed to get lot of energy in his, but i think this one looks dead.
Yourmum, i agree with the blurry stuff. I don't have any proper technique yet that works good. It gives the pic a very dirty overall look. Thank you.
Simon, i would love to see one of these from you. I liked your self portrait.
Burnout: Thank you.
Jason: I will! These does'nt take long to do so i'll probably spit out a few of them each week(i hope). I basically trying to learn more about values, since i have'nt learned much about it yet, but i think this is a good exercise in all ways, shapes&form, colours and values etc. I would love to see you do one. Can't wait to see. I have to practice techniques too. right now it's too random and it does'nt feel right. Thanks
Liquid: Thanks! Yeah, a bit sloppy. I might go back and fix that and especially the forehead wich looks incredible flat.

Cool. Looks like you're chewing tobacco and are about to spit
I agree with Liquid that the folds between your eyes may be too uniform -- if that's how it really looked, though, it's no biggie. I like the flat but still realistic coloring; gotta work on my technique in that area.
By the way, for anyone is interested, I put up a website with a few paintings and other stuff: http://tin.nu/portfolio/

hey micke i got a question how do you pic colors in photoshop .... do you click on the box everytime and pick different color from the palette? its pretty frustrating to pick colors in photoshop... i wish they made color palette just like in painter.
for me i usually just splat some color somewhere in the working area then just select it quickly whichever i need....
just curious how u paint thanx |

Very nice. and quite funny...
I think you should have varied the tones abit more, Micke. Right now you have the same warm colors in the shadow as you do in the light. I think it would be more interestiong to have some cooler coloers in the shadows. Also try to do even warmer colors where shadow meets light. Thats always working

Justin:Gonna fix the folds. if it looks weird
you can always cheat and do something about it as long as it looks right.
Kjetil: go ahead and do one of these yourself. I'm sure it will look very cool.
Cosex: I use the rgb sliders. sometimes i use swatches as a shortcut and tweak it with the rgb sliders. I use an area on the picture i'm doing as a palette.
Snake grunger: i did'nt do this from life this time. I did it from a photo, cause i hate holding facial-expression while drawing.
I'm gonna do one from life soon, though. Thanks.
Eckhardt:
Here you go:
High rez
Boomstick: Thanks! Yeah, i could have. i'll do it next time. I tried to mix in some cool colours in the shadows at the same time as i
kept it warm in others, but i did'nt exagerate, wich i maybe should have.
I'll add more soon.
Mikael
