well ive never seen these before and i do come to this forum at least 5 times a day, but anyway. i love the colouring on these a lot. the only thing i dont like about it is that the colours themselves seem to saturated.. at least to me. then again i do have a small headache, so my eyes are a bit sensitive |

I actually did most of the lighting and character shaders for the movie trailer at pawisland.com. Allie was a pain to animate, because her head is wider than her arm span

You must work at reelFX!
WOW! This is cool. I dont work for PawIsland but I have done some stuff for them through Mark Haladish. You may or may not have met him.

I actually work at a company in Utah called Eggington Productions, but we were contracted by ReelFX to help them get the trailer out the door. Ansovin Studios also did some work on it.
The characters were modeled, animated, and rendered in Hash A:M, and composited into painted backgrounds on ReelFX's Inferno machine.
Here's a test render I did while I was texturing Butch:
Because we didn't have a lot of time to get the animation done, I really had to optimize my lighting . . . that image rendered to 1920x1080 pixels in about fifteen minutes.

Here's one of Fifi. The decaled eyelashes on this version were replaced with modeled ones in the trailer.
Both Butch and Fifi were modeled by Joe Cosman, based on plaster maquettes made by Reel FX.
And thanks for the compliment!
Your coloring is nice too, though you might want to push your values a little more . . . try and hit everything from near-white to near-black.

They look great LeChuck! I've never EVER gotten the hang of cute. It always ends up a bit twisted at the end. Sort of.....well, it's cute but I wouldn't want to touch it with my bare hands.
See what I mean? I envy you very much.

Hey guys!
This brings back some memories. I helped design these characters a few years ago for Paw Island. We produced a short 3 1/2 minute promo video for them about 4 years ago.
It's nice to see that they were able to do something with these characters. I always thought they had a lot of potential.
