W2000 is Microsoft's new operatingsystem. Don't say anything before you see Apple's new OS X. |

Ye jerry WinME sux just as good as Win95 did.
I can tell you this much.. there are only three real different windows OS. Which can be grouped like this
3.1 / 95,98,98se,me / NT,2000
But since no person that is in his mind uses 3.1 we can drop that.. So ther's really two windows open in real world. Win9x is crap but strangely has HUGE support for all hardware you can find anywhere and also many software.. while NT/2000 (same/same) was built with network server in mind, but is used by all smart people. But it's not that easy! WinNT has much more stability over win9x by using resources very efficiently (yet it's not simple here too, it uses LOTS of ram to use it efficiently.. paradox).
biggest differences are those:
win9x - supports everything, very unstable, inefficient
winNT - supports nothing (lol but they work on it), very stable, efficient (since it was built with server machines in mind)
Another last thing about M$.. they keep making patches for win95 every year, name it a new name and sell as if it was a "new" windows. Whats up with that? hehe (hint: money and lazyness) |

we nuke j00!
Mac is a toy, and winNT is fasta.. not as fast as Unix though =]
Although Unix is bad for realtime 3d, raw power is awsome (rendering, stability, etc). |

Macs are far more stable than Win9x/NT/2000 could ever be...
The GUIs are far nicer on a Mac than on a PC... (compare Photoshop's and PSP for example)
Bryce... Originally written for the Mac ported to PC, easy to use, a beauty to behold. And CHEAP!
Oh... and the casting vote in favour of MACs as the machine of choice for the Anti-Gates mob... HALO.
A PC is a more versitile machine though... |

well, i think you would need to compare MAC-photoshop to PC-photoshop.

Photoshop was designed for the Mac from the beginning (wasn't it?). Paintshop Pro was (and as far as I know still is) Windows Only. PC Photoshop shares the same (up to a point) GUI as the Mac version so it isn't that good holding them side-by-side to compare. Photoshop/Paintshop Pro seems a good Mac/PC debate item... |

my only point is that photoshop is an adobe package, not a MAC one. just because JASC isnt up to par with Adobe, does not mean PC's arent up to par with MAC's. i agree that PSP is no where near as good as photoshop, but neither is MSpaint.
just because it was made on MAC's first, doesnt mean a whole lot. MSoffice was made for PC's first, but it's still the same thing on a MAC.
SporQ
(i think it does RUN better on MACS, but that's not my point, i just think there should be a fair comparison) |

INFO:
Photoshop does work better on a PC. You have more operunities, options and software using a PC. MAC are more expensive and the addons to a MAC is even more expensive.
Why use MAC? Old habbit parhaps. |
