does anyone know how to set up an online order form, where you can for example book a flight or something like that. does anyone know any hosts who do that, or even better how the hell i could do this on my own?! im looking forward to opening up my own airline you see . no seriously, does anyone kinda know how it works, im trying to learn?

As for the technology and know how...
The market is pretty much dominated by a few providers out there that are in effect tied into the airline flight booking databases; a couple of examples would be Worldspan or Sabre. The basis for communicating with their databases is XML, so any technology that communicates with their databases, like .net or ASP, cold fusion, is something to brush up on - if you haven't already.

Setting up an online form is pretty easy.
If you have web hosting, odds are they allow for some sort of scripting tools.
I use an Apache web server and perl. Setting up the form is trivial. What you do with the info requires some programming knowlege. |
