Stuffed if I can work out why the Close Window link won't work. 20000 web sites all say to use the code I've got, but it doesn't work. Bah.

Suma, you're truly the man with the plan. My hat's off to you... this is the coolest thing I've seen in long time.

oooh excellent! Great work...

might as well throw in that the sijun threads thing that was started way back like 2 years ago or so, is somewhat incompletely (only 6 threads added so far) online at www.hippytrippy.net/sijun/ it might have some images that have been moved/deleted from the original threads...

again, great work suma!

ok to show u what i mean

click "submit link" , then click the red submit tutorial , another window pops up instead of jumping in to desired section on the "submit link site" (forget about the other thing now its working :P)

one more very small thing , could u make that the "enter url here line" was always on the first place. ( or atleast on the same place)

no:

THREAD LINK SUBMISSION

I just converted all the Links pages over to PHP. (a single 1k .php file handles all the links pages - it's cool in that "this is web stuff and probably isn't cool" kinda way)

I think I found all the links that needed changing, but if anything comes up with a 404 error let me know.

I've added a new category; References.

If you've got links to good reference-image sites, add em.

Hehehe.

I had to stop adding links because visiting all those art sites was taking me way over my daily bandwidth limits, but once the new month arrives I'll be able to start adding links en masse again.

why is my link on this website? i mean... cool i guess... except that i didn't put it up. which means... i assume, that i can't edit the link to me. which is a bitch, cuz the person who submitted my link put me up with very little. it sort of makes this a bumdeal if the artist doesn't feel that the link represents them effectively. can you make a link editing script for sijun members to edit their own link? that would be really nice. thanks. else remove mine and let me send it in again.

Hamilton:

It's not a submit-your-own-link thing, it's more like an alternative to having a 5 meg Favourites file.

If you don't think the categories for your site are right you can just email me the changes. Although the categories do have more specific meanings than you might realize - eg. "Scifi" means science-fiction -scenes-, not just characters holding a lazer gun or something.

Ideally every possible sub-set and variation of art would have it's own icon, but it wouldn't be practical so each category is for a reasonably well defined type of image (though there are certainly blurred lines).

This Link-Archive is great.

Maybe you should explain the icons on every page, because there are such a lot of them, that it's difficult to rember all the meanings.

Err... I hope you understand my english.

Hm. I tried this out but it didn't work.

Maybe it's a Mac-specific problem.

Perhaps someone here knows how to solve it (IE 5.1 - Mac).

If you can take your eyes of the glassy transparency of the Mac interface for five seconds... all you need to do is make a coffee and spill it all over the keyboard. Problem solved.

@ Ian Jones: No way. There is no Mac-compatible version of coffee.

Dr Bang: you want to replace all your porn bookmarks too?

--

The server changed IPs on me today and since I don't know much about that stuff it usually takes me a few days of trial and error to get the new settings working.

The IPs have been swapped over now, and the DNS change will apparently take another couple of days to propagate throughout the net.

Back to adding links..

Rowan: The 'Craig Mullins' non-official site at http://victorian.fortunecity.com/stilllife/466/ is a lousy banner popup url with no artwork... it should be deleted imho.

Firstly, it is an official CM site. It's the one he used when before we knew who he was.

Secondly, everyone should have popup blockers installed by now?

Thirdly, he does still change the image there from time to time.

Forthly, it's really only there for nostalgia value.

Frost: yeah, it was just a joke because what you said is totally right. If any other link only had what that link offers it would be deleted el pronto. But that one gets through just for it's history with the Sijun forums.

Sorry to give you a heart attack.
