I just saw the sixth day. It was a bad movie. However it brings up some interesting ideas on cloning. How far should we take it? Should we stop it now? Messing with nature as in beef/produce/organs has already proved to yield many strange and often times disastrous affects. I believe that we should in no way fuck with nature. [eg. A lady in Northen California was allergic to nut products and she ate something with corn in it that had certain nut DNA spliced into it. The corn was only supposed to be used for feed purposes and it was a mistake that she was served it at the resteraunt. ANYHOW, she reacted to it quite drastically and almost died...] thus, don't fuck with nature it fucks right back at you. I mean, screwing with cow DNA and such? That's messed up. Making cows eat cow pellets is even more messed up. So we've got to ask ourselves, at what point are we going to refuse to take it anymore? At what point will we say, "Woh wait a minute, this is just morally and ethically wrong!" Cloning bodyparts, then cloning people, then what? What do you think?

I have few morals and don't find cloning neccisarily wrong....but I see no reasoning for it. We're already overpopulated, diseased, poor, insecure, republican, and religious....thats enough bad things to go around...the people doing the cloning are those corrupt people which should not be cloned or have say in what gets cloned...ever.
you also hear that they have made NIKS? They are immortal skin(NIKS = SKIN backwards...clever...gah) cells. so now if you lose an arm, they will grow you a new one, and when you die your arm will still be there.

In my little world [consistent of 23 professional research camps filled with neurophysicists and gene engeneers] it is perfectly legal :)

Well, I think the problem of the clone, while being just a baby, having the DNA and thus many of the problems related to the age of the original is reason enough to think twice about that stuff... (Read: Clone a 40-year-old, get a baby with a 40-year-old's DNA.) |

cloning peoples isn't legal in the US (til 2002 or 2004 or some crap like that) but that's not a world-wide thing.
Alls I have to say is this: Cloning is a wonderful thing. It is such a fabulous thing, how people are playing god and stuff. I think we should continue to strive to perfect cloning... FOR ME TO POOP ON!!!!!!
Cloning is people trying to play god.... however I'd like to see them clone a planet... now that would be cool... and more than most likely far beyond what human capabilities ever will be. Then we'll see how godlike they think they are after that! mwahahhahahha!
