I could use some feedback on the texture for this weapon.
Here's the idea behind it,
"This strange weapon is assembled from misc parts
found on the battle field. Parts are few,
so you gotta make do with what you can find."
(I havn't started on the hand yet)
This is the first person weapon, the third person and pickup weapons will be Sans Hand
It's modeled in Maya for an Unreal Tournament Mod

Thanks for the reply, Yeah, there is no telling what you'll find to make weapons with on the battle field |

TExtures are very nicely done.. hilarious stuff and great creativity. The only complaint I have is maybe the gun model itself... needs a bit more polys? |

With the hand the polycount is around 500. I didn't want the weapon to be too heavy as we are trying to get dual weapons in the first person view, so that would be a total of 1000 poly's. Once we figure out how to get dual weapons in,I can then delete the faces that are not seen.
Above is the hand texture. You can't see it that well, but the thumb's nail is all black and blue as if it's been smashed on something..hehehe
Thanks for the responces, I'm starting to move more and more into 3D modeling and texturing. I'll certianly post some more things for more feedback in the future.
Thanks
