whoa! hi again!
it's been a while.. i haven't posted in more than a month and i haven't drawn much either.. although, i've done some pics, they're not very good, but hey! i'm doing my best...

i did this one for a friend, she wanted those ears! i didn't but she did =)
done in about 2 hrs which is pretty quick for being me...

i got an inking pen for christmas so i had to try it out, here's the results...

and finally my cyborg pic, i love this one =)
zthee taught me a new drawing techinque and it was awesome, this was the result.

thanks zthee! =)

ohh wait, i did one more, a strange experiment... i like this one...
just don't flame me too hard on this one =)
i wanted to express a feeling.

i also did a ballpoint pen portrait...

i made a painter pic for a competition, i'm not satisfied with it at all and i won't fix it either! =D
i'm extremely bored with this one =)

came on forth place with it, which i'm satisfied with, the other ones where so good!

darn! i hope this thread doesn't take too long time to load! if it does then i'm sorry...

well, i'll appreciate all kinds of constructive critisism..
goodnight boys and girls!

Ok now, you've improved a lot. So don't come telling us you havent been painting much lately.
First the funny-eared portrait. What I've seen from your earlier pics, you've definitely learned a lot about light, the light source is very easy to read on her, especially on the hair. The face is proportionally a little longer than average, but again looks better than what i've seen from you before. A little flat on the form, and the eyes are really big. Still, well done. Overall the colors are looking nice and the reds fit the character even if she's looking a bit sour :).

I'm not sure what to say about the black&white Wolverine, since I don't know if you used reference for it. Anyway, symmetry is close, just a little bit off, but what strikes me is the wideness of the mouth, there's no room for cheek bones on the sides :]. Oh, and pics like these tend to look better with a neck attached to them.. you could try to shade with pencil (or if you got markers), or of course photoshop?

The second chick is really simple, again, she has very big eyes, but the proportions are better than in the long-eared girl's face. Draw more faces.

The cyborg got better from the pic i saw last year, but working from dark to light has left you with some white contours surrounding the guy: gives a photo negative effect on the pic, and makes it confusing to read in places. Basic human anatomy seems to be there, the legs are very long though. The direction of light can easily been seen here just like in the 1st pic.

[ hops over the emotion ]

Next, the ballpoint pen girl. This is by far my favorite here! The nose has nice 3d form, so do the lips thanks to the light shading, cheek bone is defined and the eyes aren't too big. Well, they're still quite big, but there's room for skull as well. Hair looks nice as well, mouth looks a little bit mis-aligned, to her right. I'd recommend using harder shadows on the following pics, don't be afraid to use dark areas.

The last one, congratulations for the 4th place! My crits about the piece are the very basic, straight from the front painted lady. Makes her look really stiff and 2dish, cartoony. The cape and hair are nice, a little simple but let's just blame painter for that :]. Hard a program to use. The bird's wings should go behind the back the lower they go, too.

Yep, gotta like that ballpoint pen portrait.

thanks again, you made my day, or well, night =)
