Great work here Feng! It would make a cool model kit too!
Keep up the good work!
[EDIT - when this page reloaded again there seemed to be a picture with the words "Polish Sex Chat" and a, erm, lady in a compromising situation. I'll put it down to herbal tea. ]

am I the only one that just sees a little red x?
[edit] nevermind.. it's there. Great work. I'd like to see your start another one for coloring.. and the steps included. How come you don't sketch with a pencil first? So you wouldn't have to use photoshop to remove those lines or whatever?

Thanx again for the kind words everyone.
Yeah, i think my web host is having some weird server problems. Anyone here really good w/ HTML coding? I checked my codes...seems right to me. I'm pretty sure it's on the server side.
Topeira & Wiked Ewok: The ellipses are made w/ ellipse guides. =)
*note: i just updated the materials section on the "how i work" page. Nothing too fancy...

very solid drawing and rendering... amazing!
and thank you sooo much for the steps, very interesting to see how others work.
Could you tell us the size of the paper you used for this one (or the size of the tank in cm or something)? |

Great pic and tutorial, thanks a lot. Just curious, how long does it take you to create a drawing like this? And yes, it would be interesting to see another sample (different sketch) using e.g. colored markers or something.

*Trying to refresh your site to check the materials section... and the NHLsource.com is where I'm getting to every time. :\

Cool stuff Feng
In your materials section i was wondeing what kind of pen the first one is, your "primary inking pen". is it a felt tip? something else? I doubt I'll be able to get the exact same thing here in Aus, so I wanted to know what it was to see If I can maybe try something like it.

I've always had trouble with eliptical shapes let alone ones with detail as on your treaded tires. Took a look at your tutorial - you make it all seem so effortless!!
All your work looks so solid - I love it!!

Again your work is 100% amazing, if not more... Disgustingly flawless, hehe!
Thanks a lot for taking the time to do the marker tutorial, it came out much more helpful and comprehensive than Doug Chiang's, IMHO.
One thing I'd still like to know, though: How many (if any) rough sketches do you usually do of a design before approaching a more finished concept drawing like this? |
