This is both finished work and work in progress.
I wanted to change the image on the main page of my site. I drew this girl so I could put a logo behind her, I tried to achieve a sort of Elvgren look for the skintones:
I consider it finished.
And this is the logo, a very crappy version since I want to change the color scheme of the site too and I'll come back to this later:
This, of course, is unfinished.
Comments, critique and advice for the logo is more than welcome.

I think the lady is very cool! You've done a great job on the skin tones and overall lighting. I didn't quite 'get' the horns at first, but that was probably just me. The Logo is looking ok, reminds me of 1970's billboards or something. it's just looking kinda plain at the moment, that's the only real problem...
love that lady |

It looks really nice...but it seems her bottom legs [calves] are too short. I think they would go farther beneath her. And here hips seem a little short as well. Just a few prportin things from where I am. But then that could just be me.
Nice coloring and drawing |

This is nice. Very Vargas. Though Horns need to be bigger and the bathing suit more red. |

I think it's great =)
My only complaint is for the alignment of the horns.
Btw, your name is Roger? |

not bad dude. only problem is she really doesn't look very devilish... try mking the horns bigger or somethin, and maybe give her a little devil's tail.
other than that its pretty cool |

great pic, but....I don't know if this is intentional, whats with the horns? there are little things on the girls forhead. they are skin colored so im not sure if they are intentional. |

Awesome chic, I just think the dark line above her bent upper thigh is too distracting. |

Hmm, very well drawn, dude. And I think your proportions are very good as well. My only two crits would be the ankle bone you have should be further forward. Also her bent elbow should be more angular. It's one of the few places on the female body that tends to be more angular then that of a man.

Looks like a pinup girl from the 50's. Cool image but I think it could be much cooler: Here are crits:
-I know you were trying to emulate natural skin tones, but if you are gonna go with the "Devil" theme why not, at least try, some different tones. Obviously red, but I think a blue could be very slick.
-The horns dont seem to fit as of now. I think they sorta look half way between horns and big pimples (ewwwww). Just the way they look to me. Why not try a different color for the base and/or horn itself.
-The text is simple and plain. I like it because it contrasts with the girl, but I think it could be..... um... More retro? Does that make any sense? I dunno, I think it could really be enhanced by a fifties feel to it. Dont ask me how to accomplish that thought! I have no idea!
I hope something I said helps either now or in the future.
Enough outta me,
-jonathan |

I agree with both the critiques and compliments so far. But I notice something that bothers me more than the other suggestions: on the arm that goes behind the plaque, both places where it intersects the plaque it seems to not go behind so much as through the top lip of it. It sort of throws off the dimensionality of it. Hope it helps! |

Wow! replies!
Seems like everybody is worried about the horns. I agree, they are unaligned and look really small. This is a character I did for a comic project a long time ago, she's supposed to have small horns but not that small , they should be like the ones on Daredevil's mask. They didn't appear as small in the line drawing though, will have to work on that.
Awetopsy: thanks!
neebhore: thanks! the logo is too plain, noted.
dementia7: I agree, I don't like the calves (hey, a word i didn't know) and the hips, but i realized that when I had already inked the drawing.
darkgoth: thnx! hmm, Vargas ...
wayfinder:
Ragnarok: Gracias! Yeah, my name is Roger, in a catalan way, it isn't pronounced like it is in english.
geoman2k: thanks! I want her to look slightly "devilish", not really devil.
Brainswitch: thnx.
Akolyte: noted.
BlackPool: Thanks for the critique, I'll consider that next time.
Jucas: I'll definitely work a little bit more on the horns, maybe a more bone color would work, but as I said I don't want her to look really devil so I don't think I'll change the skintones.
Retro fifties look for the logo, hmmm, nice idea, thanks!
Anthony: You're right, I'll fix that. |

Nice one Roger!
Mmmm...should a horned-girl wear bikini?
She must be a really shy she-devil |

Tayete: Thanks! Actually i drew her naked on the first sketch but decided to dress her for the logo.
My ... err ... Yourself :P: Thnx, I haven't tried to add her a tail, maybe I'll do. I tried with reddish hair though, and it didn't work for me. |

wakestarr, trudel: thanks for the comments!
OK, I've updated the image with bigger horns and some minor touch ups here and there. Does it look better now? (btw, the logo still has the old version) |

I think its a great image. I guess the only think that I would have to say..is the part with the text is a little dull. It just seems like the text is too boxy or just not enough color or something. The drawing of the girl is excellent.
I'll have to check out your site. |

Nice rendering, but you stray from your light source from time to time. I was really thrown off by the nose, especially. I've posted a fix, hope you don't mind.

solidtransient: thanks, yeah, the logo looks more ugly each time I look at it.
Red Leader: Thanks! no, I don't mind at all. I modified the lighting of the nose following your advice. I see there are a lot of inconsistencies on the lightning, but triyng to fix them all now would mean to almost completely repaint it .
