Hang on... Did I spell that right? Back to sobbing-

*Waaaah!* You're not supposed to do this! You're supposed to domninate other realms of art.. matte painting, photo/paint manip, cd covers, sci-fi, etc, etc... but why this? Why fantasy? Have you no heart? You heartless fiend. Here I am, trying to find my niche, and you kick my ass out of it! I know what it is... you're the big bully who has to have all the toys, right?

Haha... of course you know, I jest. Been a fan of your art, from the first day I set eyes on it. Although I've learned so much from you, I've gone to great lenghts not to 'copy' any of your basic methods, because I don't want to be a clone of anyone. I do it for myself, but I also do it for you, because you deserve, so rightly, to being set apart... but it goes to prove, that anyone who breaks out of the norm (say, like this Criag Mullins fella), will be copied to the teeth.

I respect you so much. Not only what you can do with everything at your touch (Midas comes to mind), but how you share your secrets... your methods... and your aid to those who struggle. I struggle so much, and it's great to have mentor's like you hanging around... even if you're someone I can only relate to digitally.

This elf is so magical. It reminds me that I should be more focused on the magic of what I'm doing, while I create a fantasy image/character. The environment is so important. This guy is truly fantastic. Once again my hat is off to you.

Now it was hard to write a crit down and try and explain what I mean. SO I did a small paintover..

My changes are very subtle. In my opionion there isnt anything major to crit

So here I just changed a few things to do with the nose and lips. And made him a little younger heh



well im not really sure if this is an an imrovement, and im almost sure that my additions arent too correct thenselves

very cool spooge, turned out excellent! I love the textures and colours, and the foresty. My only crit is, with his skin, everything seems really soft and blended. Maybe there could be some harder shadows and stronger lighting in areas. Dunno, just my opinion, it really turned out well.

and burntout is right, the eye socket rulez!
