So, I am guilty of a bit of fanart here.
'tis dedicated to the Queen of Rats... because she's a wonderful person, and an excellent (not to mention original) artist =)
I hope you don't mind, Socar.
(Edit) Tail added... Version minus the tail: No Tail

hey Enayla I didn't post for a long time but always took a look at your pictures. The last ones were really great even though I have to say that I usually don't like polished airbrush like pictures but great work. |

Hehe! So pretty. I'm not Socar, but this made my morning. It'll make hers, too.
Aww... but now I want one to put on my wall!

AWWWWWWW! That is so damn cute! I just want to pick it up and kiss its little forehead! I love the way the light's shining through its ears, and the perfect feet....
Wow, it's gorgeous. I saved it. It's...simply marvellous. I'm just blown away by the delicacy and beauty of it all.
I needed just this sort of pick-me-up, too...I have not been feeling well this week, and this really raised my spirits.
*Reads v1510nary's comment* Me? Draw a beautiful woman? Hm...there's an idea..although, rumor has it that I'm against beauty on principle.... Maybe I will, at that.
Once again, though...thanks so much for this, Enayla. It's simply gorgeous. |

That is SO cute! I'm in love with that little guy. Obviously the technique is wonderful, as always. I really like the droplets of water on the rose. |

How absolutely adorable! He looks so sweet and soft and touchable.
The ears look fantastic as to the feet and those large eyes are heart-melting.

Another amazing picture....gorgeous !!!
You have a good technique... you use many layers (Outline, highlights, shadows, midtones, background, etc) to do that or you simple paint on one layer ?
You do made an preview sketch on paper ?
What image size you normaly use to do your paints ?
How many progression stages have yours images ?
Sorry... (heheheee) i have ask to many questions :O)
Its amazing how you do your work !!
Thanks,

dr . bang: =)
Blitz: Thank you =D
sock: Heh, it probably looks more like a mouse =) I was aiming to make it look like a very young rat. But it's been years and years since I last drew a rodent...
nil900: Well, everyone has different tastes, no? Thank you =)
PlantMan: *giggle*
v1510nAry: *laugh* She doesn't need to. She draws stuff that is really beautiful anyway =)
SlightlyTwisted: =D !!
krobar: Thankee =)
Socar: *beams* I'm so glad you liked it. It was a wee attempt from my side to cheer you up =)
Frosted Flame: Thanks =) I wish I had a little rat like that =D
Kethorin: *beams* Thank you.
simuartist: Thanks =)
Vgta: Heheh Thanks.
rbfigueira: I never sketch on paper these days... and this picture was never, at any point, more than four layers. That was the background, the rat, the rose, and the droplets. As for the rest... I don't know how to explain it. I usually sketch in very ugly looking blocks of colour, slowly working myself towards the details. I don't have any "linework" because my mind doesn't really work like that. I start big and work towards the smaller things. If you do a linework sketch first... you have to think about the details before you work on the colours. That's not me =) Image size... usually between 2500-5000.... though this one is smaller. Progression stages? Er, I like to think about it as a flow... Not really stages, unless you count colour sketching, smoothening, detailing, and polishing as stages
tayete: Aww... maybe I'll do one for you sometime
pixualize: "Big E"?? *laughing* Aah... heheh... *smiles* Thank you =)
Visigoth: Sowwy =/ *offers a hug*
Lunatique: *beams*
Tatiana: =) I like to picture things as they should be, not like they are =) ... or rather, as I see them through my inner eye, and in my memories. |
