ok. can anyone tell me some tips on how to use custum brushes in painter / ps7 to achieve that awesome depth of textures and that "chaotic" yet perceptually correct noisy feel ? Spoogedemon's work, it just keeps hitting the back of my cortex and torturing my retina's. I really end up using only 2 or 3 brush variants and tend to draw all the noisy details one by one....wich makes me doing paintings in 12 hours that looks like paintings u guys do in 1.2 hour. Its depressing. |

can't you take that up in discussions? Don't just pick the most popular thread and post your questions in it because you want your answers fast. This is, after all, the gallery. |

Frost - good one That graphic-design thing that NOX and Hardcore have got going is hard to resist tho' -- just too tempting to try and experiment with!
Nice "light", spooge ...not sure there's enough blood on the sword tho'..heheheh...
Oblagon - keep up the great posts, you've got a very unique vision there...(I always watch for your posts).
Too many other great and fun ones to comment on -- but one last weird doodle from me before we hit 1300:

Novacaptain, that street scene is insanely good. I stared at that longer than any other picture in this thread. Did you use reference? |

Wha? serious? Well it's a place i walk past every day on my way back home from the bus stop after school. There's a little park on the right where people walk their dogs, it's on an elevated plane because the streets that frame it are slopes (but i guess they didn't want a tilted park)...there's a street on the left, and on the other side are a few antique shops. It's a mostly residential area. The bright sign in the front is a drugstore. I suppose you can say that i used reference...but none other than the impression i have of it in my mind. |

Anyhow, it doesn't deserve a thread of it's own. |
