I accidently sumbled upon http://www.portraitartist.com/ and was floored by the fees amount I found... "Portrait starting at 12 000 $" ???!??? *faints*
I only watched a few fees list but it went from 3000 bucks to 12000. woah. I don't have anything against that (heck I'd be thrilled to earn a living this way), but wasn't aware of the reality of this domain.
What do you guys think ? Will we see an exodus of artist trying to break in that domain from now on ?
*still a 'little' flabbergasted*
edit: I can't type.

i didnt really look at that too carefully, but i'll bet it's more based on connections than skill. i mean, those guys are good, but i'll bet there are other people who could do that. those guys probably have their foot in the door with some rich people who want paintings of themselves. |

thats true, rich CEO always have their painted potrait placed on the wall. 12000$ is probably considered to be their lunch money. |

"Large animals, i.e. hourses, are $3500." -Dorians price page...
erm, well you'd THINK that he'd want to spell that right if he's charging 3500 for it... |
